This painting captures the sacred moment of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita exchanging garlands during their wedding ceremony, a symbol of eternal love and devotion. Rendered in vibrant pink and red hues, it is deeply rooted in the Madhubani tradition of Mithila (Bihar), such artwork has been considered auspicious for married couples, making this piece a heartfelt gift for weddings, anniversaries, or new beginnings.

The handmade paper is meticulously treated with cow dung, neem juice, and Multani Mitti, ensuring durability and purity while embracing age-old practices. The vibrant colours, achieved using natural pigments made from flowers and Gond (tree resin), reflect the sustainable ethos of the craft. Each painting is a collaborative effort by three artisans: one creates the design, another adds detailed linework using the Kachni technique, and the third fills the colours with the Bharni style.

Available in Regular (11 x 15 inches) and Large (15 x 22 inches), this painting is part of the Tales of Mithila collection, which also features When Krishna Met Radha and When Shiva Met Parvati—each narrating a divine love story.

Please note: As our products are handmade in small batches, slight variations from the photos and minor imperfections are natural, adding to their unique charm and character.
